 APPLICATION DIRECTIONS

INDOORS: Where to apply Advion Roach Bait Gel:

ADVION® cockroach gel should be applied to areas frequented by cockroaches such as between different elements of construction, between equipment and floors, openings leading into voids and hollow spaces in floors, walls, ceilings, equipment legs and bases, around plumbing pipes, doors and windows, and behind and under appliances, cabinets, sinks, closets, and any other equipment that cockroaches are typically known to hide.

OUTDOORS: Where to apply Advion Roach Bait Gel

oA thorough inspection around a structure may reveal areas where cockroaches are gaining access. Attempts should be made to remove the access.
oADVION® cockroach gel bait may also be applied as a spot or thin bead (see above) to pest entry sites such as along windows, doors, between construction elements, sewer areas, adjacent trees which harbor cockroaches, along walls, garbage holding areas, or suitable placement site acting as a cockroach harborage.
Bait placements should be made to reduce the potential of subsequent human contact.
oBait placements should be inspected periodically and fresh bait applied as needed.

Treatment Rates for All Uses:

oFor heavy infestations of cockroaches, apply 3 to 5 spots of ADVION® cockroach gel bait per 10 linear feet.
oFor light to moderate infestations of cockroaches, apply 1-3 spots of ADVION® cockroach gel bait per 10 linear feet.
oEach spot of ADVION® gel bait should equal about 0.5 grams (approx. 1/4" diameter)
oFor all levels of cockroach infestations, when a bead of ADVION® cockroach gel bait is used, apply a small thin bead that is less than 1/8" wide and approximately 2 inches long.

Application Tips:

oAvoid applying ADVION cockroach gel to surfaces recently treated with residual sprays.
oSurfaces treated with ADVION cockroach gel should not be treated with residual sprays.
oRepeat applications may be made upon inspection during follow-up inspections of the treated areas.
oDo not apply to surfaces that food contacts.
oDo not allow open foods to contact gel material

Advion contains indoxacarb as the active ingredient -- currently the sole member of a new class of chemistry, oxadiazines, which affect insects' nervous systems.

After ingesting Advion, the cockroach's own internal enzymes change the molecular structure and attributes of indoxacarb into the more potent MetaActive compound, resulting in paralysis, followed by death.

Beyond the initial impact, Advion cockroach gel bait provides powerful exponential control of cockroach infestations through secondary kill for complete infestation elimination.

Advion cockroach gel bait is formulated such that cockroaches will consume it even in the toughest situations, particularly in gel bait-resistant conditions

PCT online.com reports in a news article dated 5/8/2006 on Advion Roach Gel,

"Among the speakers on day three of the conference was Dr. Dini Miller of Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, Va., and Donald Reierson of the University of California, Riverside. Miller provided a brief overview of the history of bait aversion, as well as reviewed the results of laboratory and field evaluations of Advion Cockroach Gel Bait, including its use in challenging public housing accounts in Portsmouth, Va. "These apartments have a lot of conducive conditions," she said, "and they've been treated with every product known to man." Applications were made to kitchens and bathrooms, and Advion Cockroach Gel Bait decreased trap catches by 96 percent, according to Miller, providing excellent control in a "severe test for any bait application."

Reierson, a frequent speaker at industry educational events, reported on a variety of laboratory and field trials with Advion bait. Among the university's findings were:

o Advion Cockroach Gel Bait was active against German and American cockroaches, providing 100 percent mortality of Blattella germanica (German Roach) in less than four days.

o Advion bait was active against bait-averse strains of Blattella germanica(German roach).

o Advion bait was as effective after aging one week as it was when fresh.

o Various laboratory choice trials suggest Advion bait is likely to be highly efficacious under field conditions."
