Clover Mites

Clover mites are small red mites that can swarm in the thousands when the weather is right. These mites do not bite but can be quite a nuisance when they enter a house, each mite when squished producing a red mass. Clover mites feed on vegetation and also feed on the algae that grow on mulch, rocks, and underneath the siding of your house. Removal of leaves and mulch from around your house will reduce populations of any type of pest.

How To Get Rid Of Clover Mites

Use Bifen IT at the rate of one ounce per gallon. Spray underneath the siding of the house and out into the yard for a distance of 10 feet. Repeat this application one week later. Sometimes a third treatment is needed. Bifen IT can be used inside but Talstar Aerosol which also contains bifenthrin is very handy to treat around the window sills using the crack and crevice tip.
