Copper-Chelated

Loading...

Chelated Copper is much more effective than copper sulfate to combat planktonic, chara and filamentous algae in fresh waters. As opposed to Copper Sulfate, it stays suspended in the water instead of sinking to the bottom. Copper Sulfate uses more elemental copper than chelated copper to get the job done.

  • Chelated copper treated water may be used for fishing, swimming, irrigating turf or ornamental plants, or watering livestock after treatment.
  • Chelated copper targets the algae biomass on multiple modes of action
  • Chelated copper is effective in high alkaline waters (copper sulfate is not).
  • Chelated copper is more effective than copper sulfate in colder temperature waters.
