So far, so good
The one thing stressed is to cut and apply "immediately" to the cut.

I'm trying to use this stuff to kill small trees (0.5 to 1.5" diameter) that are very close to other things like a rose bush or a fence These, I know, will take more time to see the results,

It does seem to work really well on woody vines such as Ivy. They died almost instantly. Vines are nearly impossible to pull up.

I tried it on a wild onion after cutting, and again, I saw results right away.

Wild Violet - not so sure, It's extremely difficult to apply to that plant.

Dandilion was tried too. I applied it to the cut stem and the cut leaves.

Anyway, Wild Violet, Wild Onion and Dandilions are tough to remove mechanically. If you leave a bit of the tap root of tthe Dandiloin, it comes back. If you leave the tiniest amount of root on the Wild Violet, it's back. Wild Onions are the same way. You have to get them all.

I have not tried to mix and topically apply yet.

So, I am using this stuff to kill stuff that is impossible to remove manually. Dandilions can grow quite long and be next to a piece of asphalt or cement making them impossible to remove completely.

They do give a procedure that's carried out in the fall to effectively kill a tree.

Works Great
Used the product to stop blackberries, simply cut vine, apply product and they are done. Also used product on 10 inch willow stumps, worked great, they are dead.
