Great product..

I also have had great results with this product in north central Texas. I've been using it for 3 1/2 years. It's applied every spring and fall mainly as a pre-emergent but it also helps get eliminate small grassy weeds that did sprout up. No product is going to get rid of 100% of weeds. But in my experience Weed Beater Complete does the best job of any pre-emergent I've tried. There are always a few broadleaf weeds that pop up but I either dig those by hand or spray with a broadleaf weed killer. I have about 8,000 square feet of lawn and never have to dig/spray more than 10-12 broadleaf weeds in any year. Results of any product will vary based on how it's applied, when it's applied and overall health of your turf grass. Not everyone will get the same results but Weed Beater complete is worth a try as you work to determine the best product for your lawn.

Worked well for me
I have to dispute the negative reviews on Weed Beater Complete. We live in Northern Virginia, and our entire yard was predominantly weeds. I can't name specific weeds other than crabgrass, dandelions and clover, but this product worked well on ALL my weeds. I used it in late spring last year, when the weeds were already well-established. I had read a review that said to make sure the ground was wet when you apply it, and we happened to have a full day of steady drizzle. I got home that evening and put out the Weed Beater while it was still misting a little outside. Within a week, I started noticing that the weeds were dying. I did not overseed in the fall because of what the instructions state, but with our early spring this year, I can already see grass starting to grow in some of the brown/dead weed spots. There are a couple of places where the weeds have started growing again, and I intend to get another bag just to treat those areas soon.

Waste of money
I have bought and used a number of Bonide products with good results. However, Weed Beater Complete was not one of them. I applied it exactly how the bag prescribed, with absolutely no results. It killed nothing - Dandelions, Clover, Creeping Charlie, Plantain... nothing. They didn't even flinch. Very disappointing.

I used it following the directions it did not work at all
It was a waste of my money and time, I also weed my neighbor's yard as it is filled with weeds, mine not so much, but I like the meaningless ad it gets down to the root, well, it has not touch the Creeping Charlie, Dandelions, and/or many more weeds like crabgrass, and a host of other I cannot name etc.

DIY RESPONSE: Sorry this product didn't perform as you expected. I'm going to up date the description with your feedback. This product is both a pre & post emergent herbicide. Reviewing the label, it works best as a pre-emergent. This late in the year you won't see great results with a pre-emergent. It does however state that it works as a post-emergent when used very soon after the weed emerges, but it does state that it doesn't work well on many weeds after they are fully grown. For more information on how this product works, refer to the label: http://www.doyourownpestcontrol.com/SPEC/LABELS/weedbeatergranulesbonide.pdf or give us a call at: 1-800-476-3368 and we can make a recommendation for your specific scenario.
