Dermestid Food Attractant Lures
Dermestid Food Attractant Lures attract the adults and larvae of multiple species of carpet beetle and other Dermestid beetle species.
The Dermestid beetle species are also called hide beetles, stored product pest such as larder beetles and khaproa beetles or carpet beetles (Varied carpet beetle, Black carpet beetle. This species has as many as 500-700 numbers worldwide. These beetles may live in various locations but are most often found in natural fibers, animal hair, skin, dead insects, feathers or pollen. Other habitats include animal carcasses, and nests of wasps, bees or birds. They are even found in violin cases after feeding on the natural hair in the bow.
Forensic entomology uses these types of beetles in criminal investigations, as they are associated with decaying carcasses.
