Honor Guard PPZ Fungicide (Compare to Banner Maax)

Honor Guard PPZ Fungicide with Propiconazole 14.3% is a systemic fungicide that has a broad spectrum of target diseases. It kills and controls disease on turf and ornamentals on such problems as Powdery Mildew, Rust, Brown Patch, Pink Patch, Red Thread, Gray Leafspot, and Stripe Smut.

With use low rates, for most diseases, you use between 0.5 -2 oz of Honor Guard PPZ per 1,000 square feet.

Honor Guard PPZ Fungicide Uses

  • Honor Guard PPA is to be used preventively to control diseases.
  • To ensure thorough coverage, use plenty of water.
  • Allow sprayed area to dry before irrigation when treating foliar diseases.
  • Either allow sprayed area to dry completely before mowing or apply after mowing.
  • Honor Guard PPZ controls soil-borne diseases; water in Honor Guard Fungicide after application.
  • Use a higher rate of Honor Guard and shorter intervals, when there are optimum conditions for high disease pressure.
  • Use Honor Guard PPZ with good turf management practices for optimum turf quality and disease control.
  • Before using spray additives, evaluate the additive.
  • Properly diagnose the disease before using any fungicide, including Honor Guard PPZ.
  • Limit application to no more 16 oz per 1,000 ft per year and no more than 5.4 gals. of Honor Guard PPZ per acre per year.
  • Since Bermudagrass is sensitive to propiconazole, do not apply more than 4 oz per 1,000 ft every 30 days or any Bermudagrass. When temperatures exceed 90°F, do not apply Honor Guard PPZ to Bermudagrass on golf course greens.
