Invict Xpress Granular Bait

Invict Xpress with Imidacloprid kills a broad spectrum of insects at express speed. The listed pests it kills include ants, roaches, crickets, mole crickets, silverfish, firebrats and earwigs. The combination of the active ingredient, Imidaclorprid (giving a quick kill) and the bait matrix (that attracts the insects) will give you fast results with express speed. Invict Xpress is made of multiple attractants in its bait matrix that insects find irresistible. The irresistible bait matrix combined with the fast kill of Imidaclorprid will give you an "unfair advantage" over the insects.

Invict Xpress and Mega Colony Ants

Invict Xpress has proved to be an excellent bait for controlling mega-colony and persistent ants like Argentine, Rasberry, Crazy, Caribbean, and big-headed ants. This bait has a powerful attractant for these ants, combined with its high killing power and low use rates.

How Invict Xpress Works

As insects such as crickets, roaches, firebrats, and silverfish find Invict Xpress while foraging for food, they eat the bait and die. Worker ants* take the bait back to the nest and feed it to the larvae; worker ants cannot eat solid food. The larvae digest solid food and excrete liquid food for the rest of the colony.

*Not labeled for Carpenter, Fire, Pharoah and Harvester Ants.

Outdoor Applications:

Perimeter Application:

  • Rate: Invict Xpress 1/2-1 oz (2-4 tbs) per 100 sq feet
  • Equipment: Mechanical spreader, hand duster for application
  • Apply: Around the perimeter of the buildings, spread a band 1-3 feet. May apply a band from 1-3 feet around the perimeter of buildings. If the perimeter is treated with a repellent insecticide (call if you have any questions), the bait may still be used around the perimeter, but it should be applied in a band outside the repellent barrier for best results.
Usage Example: For a 200 linear foot building, using a 2-foot band, use 8-16 tablespoons of bait.

Turf Application: Using a hand shaker or mechanical spreader, apply bait evenly over the infested areas at a rate of 4-8 oz per 1000 sq feet or 10-20 lbs per acre. Do not water in.

Sewer Application: Use Invict Xpress bait at a rate of 1 oz per 100 square feet along ledges inside sewers and around manhole covers.

Other Suggested Exterior Applications: Invict Xpress may be applied around along sidewalk edges, patio edges, under decks and around driveways. Vegetable gardens, mulch beds, flowerbeds, compost heaps, wood piles, stumps, trees and trash areas will harbor more insects; pay particular attention to these areas, with more bait applied.

Greenhouse Application:
Do not apply Invict Xpress directly to pots or flats or place bait in exposed areas. Apply bait under benches.
Ants Outside:
Look for harborage areas and ant trails around stumps, trees, tree cavities, landscape stones, firewood piles, and mulch beds. Sprinkle 1/2 oz to 1 oz around any ant mounds and along foraging trails. The foraging ants will take it back to the ant nests. If ants are present after one week, reapply the bait.
Invict Xpress may also placed in insect bait stations.

Indoor Applications:

  • Use tamper resistant bait stations or only bait in areas inaccessible to children and pets. Use a hand duster or hand shaker to apply bait. Apply  0.5 oz (2 tablespoons) per void, crack, crevice or at a rate of 0.5 oz per 100 sq. ft.
  • Trash closets, utility closets, dropped ceilings, under and behind appliances and vending machines, in wall voids and voids under and behind cabinets, sinks and tubs, in drawer wells, garbage chutes, pipe chases, elevator pits, around drains, around electrical conduits and in cracks and crevices where insects may harbor. Focus application in areas where insects or their signs are seen. Reapply bait after one week if infestation is still present. The bait may be broadcast in unfinished attics, basements and crawlspaces provided children do not have access to these areas.

Prevention Treatment:

Use Invict Xpress every three months around the perimeter and potential harborage areas to prevent large insect populations from developing.
It is best not to apply this bait directly on any repellent insecticide. A non-repellent insecticide such as Taurus SC or Dominion 2L is recommended around the perimeter for best results.

Worth it and easy to use.
Saw a few roaches in house and knew the adage of if you see some there's more. Bought this, used it near entryways and any roach we have came across has been dead. It has also gotten rid of a few ants I've had reoccurring issues with as well. Highly recommended and I still have half the container left.

Positive review of treatment with this product for crazy ants:
Crazy ants have been wreaking havoc in my yard for about three years. A few times I have seen that there was no sign of them. The problem is that my neighbors have not treated their yards. So as soon as all the granules are gone from my yard, the ants come back.
My first order was for the 25 pounds of the Invict Express Granular Bait. I have just in the last few days used the last of it. Now I am going to prepare to keep it around the parameter of my yard in the areas which are on the sides where my neighbors are not treating for them. I will keep some of this on hand to be prepared when I see them again.
The important thing is to be sure and check for them on a regular basis. And when you see signs of them, be prepared to treat your lawn. It will take years for my lawn to recover.

Better than spraying the ants
This summer, I have been applying the granular bait wherever I find argentine ants in the house. My ant problem isn't as bad as has been in previous years where I only sprayed surfaces where there were ants (mainly floors). So, based on that experience, I can honestly say that the granular bait is somewhat effective. So far, I haven't eradicated the ants on my property, but the argentine ant is a tenacious adversary.

Kills good, environmentally questionable
This stuff killed my invasive Argentine ants better than any previous product I have used. One problem is that this product uses a nicotinoid insecticide. These insecticides have now been banned many places in the world and there is strong evidence that they destroy bee populations. I will not buy again for that reason, but it works great to kill ants. I only place the product in protected areas not accessible to water runoff or wildlife.

If you have red crazy ants, Buy This!
I forgot that I ordered this a few months ago. Checked the weather and decided to sprinkle it around and under my potted plants then on and around the small red crazy ant mounds. Within seconds they were hauling into their mounds. Walked around the yard the next day...not a single ant coming in or out! This stuff is awesome!! I will buy a larger container of this miracle worker to keep those suckers at bay!

Very Satisfied Customer
We had literally been overrun with ants in the house... I had received a good product from an exterminator in the past, but they don't "sell" the product without a technician. I found this site and saw this product that seemed very similar to what I used. I ordered it, it came quickly, I dispensed it in all necessary locations... within ONE DAY the ants were depleted almost completely. The few stragglers were gone soon after. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Good but needs sugar
I had used this bait in bait stations with the Advance 375A select ant bait. My goal was to kill off a colony of ants that settled into our kitchen. This particular bait was not taken as much as the Advance 375A bait but the ants still took a little of this bait. Overall by itself this bait will not take care of ant problems it need other sugar based bait to work at its best.

It works
For three weeks I used every Terro product available to purchase to kill pavement ants. When I put down the dust they would move the colony to a different location. In three days of applying these granules the colony was killed

Great stuff!
Best money ever spent. Worked fast and easy. Been battling an ant problem for years and termini could not resolve. Fired them and bought this. No ants in my house after first use. None in my yard after about two weeks of using. Get it.

Waste of money! Would NOT recommend this crap to anyone. Ants came back a few days later in the same spots.

Invict Xpress is a protein based bait. Using it alone works some of the time but on the site we recommend using it with a sugar based bait to make sure you have a food source that is attractive to the ants. Give us a call at 800-476-3368 if you would like to discuss how to proceed.

It works
Used this for when the ants don't seem interested in the sweet gel bait. Together the two take care of the problem. Easy to use.

Great product
The product, website, fast shipping and ease of using product was all excellent. Bugs are gone. 100% satisfaction!

Excellent for crickets
I sprinkled some of this around the interior perimeter of an old tool shed that had moisture issues and was teeming with crickets - especially camelbacks -- and after a day or two I swept up the carcasses. One more application a week later to "mop up" the few stragglers, and have not had an issue since. Plenty of product left in the can when they come back, though! Very pleased with the effectiveness, and could not be simpler to apply.

Excellent product
I was referred to this site by an exterminator. Not only was I extremely happy with the ease of use with the web site, but the product I ordered to deal with the "cave or camel" crickets was amazingly effective. I left small amounts of the granulated bait in a couple of areas and checked back the following day to see if bait was taken, and to my amazement, the product was so effective that there were actually dead ones on the bait. I highly recommend this product.
