Precor IGR Concentrate
Precor Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) lasts up to 7 months with its active ingredient, Methoprene 1.2%. Precor IGR prevents the flea from maturing into adult stages.
Precor IGR is usually used combined with a residual insecticide (to kill the adult fleas), but may be used alone if you can spray it before a flea infestation occurs. Due the life cycle of a flea, Precor IGR takes from 4-6 weeks to entirely work.
How to Apply Precor IGR
Mix 1 oz of Precor to one gallon water to cover 1,000 - 1,500 square feet. It works best on rugs and carpets. If you have hard floor surfaces, we suggest Precor 2000 Aerosol or Ultacide Aerosol.
Spray Precor in areas where fleas are found, particularly where the pets stay. You can spray carpets, upholstered furniture, pet beds, and pet sleeping areas with Precor IGR. Make sure to spray this IGR in all areas where you think your pet has traveled. Wait for surfaces to dry before pets reenter the sprayed rooms. Precor IGR is sensitive to strong sunlight and may only last 4-6 months in those areas.
Alternatives To Precor
Meteor IGR Concentrate is a comparable product with 1.2% Methoprene, breaking the life cycle of the flea but is more economical.
