Precor Plus Fogger (3 x 3 oz cans)

Walt Cline - Pest Control Professional Pro Tip: "Foggers(including this product) alone will rarely end a flea problem, even if you have an IGR to get the pre-adult fleas, because they do not really penetrate the floor surface well (where the fleas reside). You'll need Residual/IGR aerosol spray such as Precor 2625 Premise Spray or Alpine Flea Spray, to spray directly to the floor surfaces and areas where your pets spend their time. These are exceptionally good on hardwood floors and tile.

For carpeted floors I like to use a mixture of FenvaStar PLus and Tekko Pro IGR
It takes about 6 weeks to break the flea cycle.

Precor Plus Fogger - Easy to Apply

This flea fogger with Precor is easy to apply. It will quickly kill the adult fleas and prevent larvae from hatching to adults; breaking the flea cycle. It does not have a lingering odor or leave a stain. One 3 oz can covers 375 square feet, 3000 cubic feet (a room 15' x 25' with an 8' ceiling) and lasts for 7 months.

Using Precor Plus Fogger - Best Results

Due to the nature of the flea cycle, you may want to use this fogger once again to kill the hatching adults within 6 weeks. For best results, spot treat with Precor 2625 Premise, Alpine Flea Aerosol, or Ultracide Flea Spray flea aerosols. These aerosols may be directly applied to such areas as under beds, furniture, or obstructed areas where fogger mist may not penetrate. They would also be handy to retreat during the difficult first 6 weeks of the flea cycle.

Top Features

  • Water-based, no-odor formulation won't stain or leave an unsightly residue.
  • Ideal for large-area treatment - one fogger treats 750 sq. feet.
  • Contains Precor IGR (methoprene) to prevent flea reinfestations for up to seven months, plus Permethrin for quick knockdown of adult fleas.

Suggested Application Areas

  • Large indoor treatment areas
  • Cluttered areas like basements and garages

It's worked for me.
I've used this product several times and it has worked for me. I used this under my house, in my house, a shed, and chicken coop (minus chickens). It has killed fleas, roaches, and assorted nuisance bugs. I'm not sure why other people didn't have a good experience but it's worked great for me.

Don't bother
I used this as instructed and it did nothing. I don't have a huge flea problem but wanted to keep it under control. My problem has grown and now I am trying to find other solutions. Don't waste your $$!

Simply did not work
Let me start by saying that we did NOT have a major infestation of fleas.
My Saturday started with me vacuuming the living room & the hall. We then loaded the dog into the car, I set off the 3 cans of Precor Plus foggers (2 in living room, 1 in the center of our small hall way) and left home going to Pet Smart for a grooming and a bath with flea shampoo (for our pup Fred). After some shopping [to kill the 2 hours wait time stated on the can] we picked up our now flea less Havanese Fred and returned home.
Within minuets I spotted fleas on Fred's white coat!

I'm not sure at this point what kills fleas....... but I can say that it is NOT Precor Plus!!!!!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!

DIY RESPONSE: It usually takes more than foggers to end a flea infestation. While foggers will kill active adult fleas, new fleas that were ready to hatch during the fogging will still hatch once the insecticide in the fogger breaks down (This happens within hours, for example after the 2 hours that you waited).

Foggers will decrease the overall population and they also spread a growth inhibitor to combat future fleas, but spot treatments are usually also needed to completely eradicate the population. You can spot treat heavily infested areas with a product such as Alpine Flea Spray: http://store.doyourownpestcontrol.com/pt-alpine-flea-insecticide-igr
