- Prodiamine and Annual Rye Grass
I searched high and low for an answer to my dilemma. In that, lots of us down here in Florida sow annual rye grass for winter forage and wish to keep it up for as long as possible for grazing horses over winter. I didn't want to burn my rye grass next to the house with prodiamine to kill the crab grass that will emerge later in the season within the bermuda around our home. I asked the customer support team here and got the answer I expected but wanted to verify.
Prodiamine 65 WDG wil NOT harm the rye grass as long as it's an established growth and not freshly germinated.
Thanks for help, DIY Pest Control

My neighbors are not the best at weed control, actually they do none, and my lawn was being overrun by crab grass every year, until last year, haha. I used this product as described in the video and, voila, no more crab grass, almost none at all, anywhere in the lawn. I did try this in the flower/shrub bed with a lot less effectiveness. Cultivated this year and am giving it another go, but for lawns, you can't beat this product at this price.
- one year results
This is what I have been using the last year. Yes, I do work at Do It Yourself, but I have a yard that is gets weeds as well. I use it in the fall and the spring. I am really happy with Prodiamine. It is easy to mix and prevents probably 95 percent of the weeds. You will never get them all but it is nice to get most.
