Victor Tin Cat Mouse Trap

Walt Cline - Pest Control Professional Pro Tip: "Since mice have poor vision they travel along walls. Place the Victor Tin Cat Mouse Traps along the walls. Mice like to go where other mice have been, so do not clean the stations. You will catch more mice in stations that have mouse smell to them. You might consider Tin Cat Glue Boards that fit in these traps. These glue boards would prevent fecal material from getting airborne so there would be less of a chance of health problems. If you use a glue board, this repeating mouse trap would not be classified as humane.
We also carry a really nice mouse trap similar to the Tin Cat but 1/2 the size called Pro Ketch Junior.

It works!
Simple review - this product does what it says.
Up to you if you want to "catch and release" or just check once a week and empty the dead ones.
Put a blob of peanut butter in when new and unused. Once you have caught your first mouse their smell will attract others.

Mouse Traps
This is an excellent trap for mice, garden snakes, roaches, spiders, ants and what not. Put it under furniture where not exposed to your pets, as it has stickup that "works". I recommend highly to any one that has unwelcome critters in their home..... They are effective and non poisonous.

Great product!
Very practical, economic product that really, really does what it's supposed to do!
Am very pleased with this product! Have caught more mice than anything out there. Also, don't have to worry about it being around my animals
Highly recommend the see-thru top.

These traps are great and can also be used humanely!
These traps are great - And if you happen to want to get rid of mice without killing them, you can do them with these traps. They are easy to use and you can safely transport mice far away to where you want them to relocate. Would strongly recommend these traps but not the glue board or the recommended disposal method of drowning. Why bother with a humane trap if you are just going to kill them?!

excellent product
I bought this product to rid our pole barn and shed of mice. But being an animal lover couldn't bring myself to kill them, so I used these traps and kept catching mice. In total we caught 13 mice and relocated them several miles up the road to a woods. Would recommend getting these for a humane way of ridding yourself of mice.

works great, be prepared to check daily at first
We operate an animal sanctuary in SC, so the humane Tin Cat was just what we needed after an invasion of mice at the start of winter. I got the case of 12 so I could cover multiple rooms and walls. With 12 down the first night I caught 15 that I put into a bucket and released far (miles) away near an old barn. As things slowed down I started stacking the traps 2 high with a barrier extending over the top and front creating a tunnel into the traps, they couldn't go over of around unless they backtracked, catches increased again. Then I started using peanut butter which I kept against the wall with the hinge, again catches increased but clean up of peanut butter is difficult so I cut a small piece of plastic to fit the bottom of the trap making a removable 'floor' to make cleaning easier. Worth the money!

Not just for mice!
I will start by saying that I am VERY pleased with the fast processing of my order by DIY Pest Control. My package arrived quickly and I placed them in my garage immediately. These pads have caught spiders, lizards, a field mouse and more spiders! I do not live in the wild, however, new construction in my development keeps the pests very active.

glue traps work even without the tin cat
I think I have tried every type of mouse trap out there, and from several brands as well. These glue traps are one of the most effective traps available. I use them without the box, though I realize a box could increase the effectiveness of the traps further. As it is, I use them in a basement crawl space, and just the glue boards do a fine job catching mice. The boards are probably one of the less humane ways to dispatch a mouse, but none of the more humane traps seem to work as well, and certainly none are as cost effective.
