Katana Turf Herbicide is a selective herbicide that controls a broad range of broadleaf weeds in zoysiagrass, buffalo grasses, bermudagrass, centipedegrass, seashore paspalum and other warm-season turfgrass. It is noted for its removal of overseeded cool-season grasses as well as control of perennial and annual grasses and sedges.
It excels in the removal of Poa annua, clumpy ryegrass, ryegrass, tall fescue, and annual ryegrass in warm season turf. Katana's label covers the control of 55 sedges, grassy, and broadleaf weeds. With such a broad spectrum of control, it is an excellent option for golf and commercial landscape maintenance in warm-season turf.
Kills cool season grasses for sure!outstanding product! I have bermuda in my front yard and after watching a few videos, I came across this. It takes care of the unwanted grass that sprouts up like poa, rye, and fescue. The first spray I mixed it with quinclorac because I had a little bit of crabgrass and clover growing. Lots of fescue and rye patches were spotted throughout the lawn. Poa had started to show its ugly head as well. About 5 days after the spray, I noticed yellowing of the poa, fescue, and rye grasses. 2 weeks after using the product I have healthy bermuda still and dead cool season grass patches. The quinclorac must've got the clover..idk. but I wanted the grass gone. I followed up with another spray of pure katana, just for added measure. Worth the money to keep your warm season turf warm only.
