Surflan Flex T&O (Turf and Ornamental) Herbicide
Surflan Flex T&O Herbicide is a new pre-emergent herbicide containing oryzalin. It uses the new proprietary transverse technology which allows optimal absorption into the soil matrix, resulting in enhanced weed control. This increased penetration into the soil is quite an improvement over previous Surflan formulations. It also includes new date ranges for applications, for increased flexibility with applications.
Surflan Flex is applied to the surface for the control of certain broadleaf weeds, many annual grasses in turf, ornamentals, Christmas tree plantations, non cropland areas and industrial sites for the control of such weeds as foxtail, barnyardgrass, pigweed, goosegrass, lambsquarters and pursland. It may be tank mixed with other herbicides.Surflan Flex disrupts the plant growth during seed germination. As a pre-emergent it may be tanked mixed with other herbicides to control established weeds.
Surflan Flex is orange and may cause temporary discoloration of the sprayed surfaces.
Safety and Possible Injury
Surflan Flex T&O can be safely used on bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, buffalograss, centipedegrass, St. Augustinegrass, zoysiagrass, and established tall fescue growing in warm season areas.
To avoid possible injury, DO NOT apply SURFLAN FLEX to: Cool season turfgrass species, newly sprigged or sodded areas of Bermudagrass, St. Augustinegrass, centipedegrass, or zoysiagrass until these turfgrasses are well established and have well-anchored root systems.

| More Instructions | Soil PreparationSurflan Flex controls the weed from the seed form. It does not control existing or established weeds. Remove emerged weeds before applying Surlan Flex. Activation and CultivationActivation is necessary with Surflan Flex. At least 1/2"-1 " of rainfall or sprinkler irrigation is required to the the herbicide into the zone of weed germination. In high organic or fine textured soils, rainfall or irrigation of 1" or more is needed. |
