Best Time To Trap Moles

Spring is the best time to trap moles because newly-made surface tunnels are easy to spot. Moles can be trapped during any season except in very cold or dry weather.

How Many Victor Out O Sight Traps Are Needed?

A common mistake is not to use enough traps. If you have three active tunnels in the yard, use three traps.

Where Do I Set Mole Traps?

First you must identify an "active" tunnel. To do this you can flatten an area a couple inches wide in each tunnel (this easily done by simply stepping on the tunnel with your heel). Tunnels that are "rebuilt" are active. ***Follow the manufacturers illustrated instructions for setting the trap properly and safely.***The presence of moles will be indicated by mounds of soil created as they construct their tunnels.

To locate tunnels in frequent use, clear away a mound of soil and probe for the opening usually a short passage that leads down a few inches to the main tunnel. Place mole traps in this tunnel.

I tried a lot of other things like poisons and smoke bombs and they didn’t work. The trap did catch a mole
I found it hard to set.A video would help but it worked. I followed the instructions and the next day I had caught a mole!

Well worth the money spent
I tried every conceivable gimmick (e.g. tack strips, other trap) to no avail. This trap is well worth the money! After just a couple of weeks of use I have removed four moles from my yard. Well worth the money spent!

Simple but effective!
Tried them all this works the best. Usually sold out everywhere but Do It Yourself Pest Contro (always well stocked).

For the money ...
... it works. Took about 2 weeks like the previous writer said of moving it around and setting it but finally got one. :) Question is, how many more do I have ... lol. They do take some wrist and hand strength to set, but they seem to be built heavy duty and should last. After a few times setting it, it gets easier.

Only complaint I have is that the jaws are not wide enough when open. A couple of times moles just tunneled around the trap but what da ya want for $13.50?!

Best thing that has worked
Once we did trial and errors we finally got the pest. Ugly creatures!!! Been trying poison, smoke bombs and it took about 2 weeks of trying to catch him before we are successful

Best way to rid your yard of moles!
I've tried everything from pellets to poison worms to smoke. These traps simply work. There is also a satisfaction when you do catch one. They do take a bit of sleuth work finding an active tunnel. I then set the trap and place a cardboard box or dark plastic tub upside down over the trap, then check it a couple of time per day.

I had resorted to mashing down their tunnels then sitting quietly with a pitch fork watching for tunnel movement. That method works as well, but is time consuming,...

can't comment
Purchased 2 of these. Look very good and well made. Unfortunately I am too old and my wrists not strong enough to set the jaws, even with the "leverage" bars. Not a complaint, just a little information for someone like me that does not have healthy wrists

this is the only thing that really works none of the poisons I have tried do anything but take your money bought 4 traps caught 3 moles in first 3 days still working on the rest of the farm

Ordered 3 of these, they are very strong and well made but i Have been unable to catch anything in them.
There are better traps out there i'm sure, but forget this one, It looks good but doesn't do the job.

Just what I was looking for
I needed a second trap, I haven't used this trap yet but I am confident It will work well. I usually file the holding rod end just a bit to make it more of a hair trigger. Very good price and the best trap design out there.
