Victor Tin Cat Mouse Trap

Walt Cline - Pest Control Professional Pro Tip: "Since mice have poor vision they travel along walls. Place the Victor Tin Cat Mouse Traps along the walls. Mice like to go where other mice have been, so do not clean the stations. You will catch more mice in stations that have mouse smell to them. You might consider Tin Cat Glue Boards that fit in these traps. These glue boards would prevent fecal material from getting airborne so there would be less of a chance of health problems. If you use a glue board, this repeating mouse trap would not be classified as humane.
We also carry a really nice mouse trap similar to the Tin Cat but 1/2 the size called Pro Ketch Junior.

Victor Tin Cat Mouse Traps  (M308 Clear Tops & M310 Solid Tops)- Humane Mouse Traps

The Victor Tin Cat Mouse Trap is a repeating mouse trap that has a very secure escape proof mechanism. These traps are manufactured with a high quality galvanized steel, making them slighly more costly than other brands. Another advantage of a Tin Cat Mouse Trap is its size with its lower profile. With their shorter heights, they can fit under pallets and into tight areas. They can be used with the optional glue boards or without these glue boards.

These repeating, humane mouse traps come in a clear top model (M308) and a solid top model (M310).

  • Patented escape proof mechanism, made in the USA.
  • Packaging: singles and case(12 per case)
  • Dimensions: 10.25\" x 6.25\" x 1.75\"

Tips and Usage

The Clear Tops, M308 are not to be used in direct sunlight; use Victor Tin Cat Solid Tops, M310 for outside use in direct sunlight.

tin cat glue boards If you prefer the handy Tin Cat glue boards designed to fit inside them, it will act as a covered glue trap.

Where To Place Victor Tin Cat Mouse Traps

Place traps near baseboards, corners, along walls, or in spaces where rodents are likely to travel. Place the Victor Tin Cats lengthwise against a wall with the entrance holes nearest the wall. No bait is required, but peanut butter or vanilla extract may increase catch. Since rodents are suspicious of new objects, it may take a week or two before they want to enter the trap. Once one mouse enters other mice readily follow.

For best results, use several traps along walls about 10-15 feet apart.

Parts Included:

A Service record label packed inside each trap. Service Record Labels may be reordered.

Still waiting....
Quality is really good. Bought three and baited with peanut butter. After 5 days not one mouse caught. Hoping that means there are none but not sure about that.

the best in my experience
I tried several makes and varieties of humane traps. Plastic ones--the mouse ate his way out. Single-mouse traps: the mouse died before I could release him. Hav-a-hart: too difficult to set correctly. This galvanized metal, multi-mouse trap works. It is the only one that is worth the money, and it is a bargain for the price.

BEST I've FOUND
This is my third humane mousetrap and I will never buy another product again. In fact I may never have to because this one is so well designed and constructed it should last the rest of my life. WIsh I'd gotten this one in the first place. It worked immediately. It is easy and not even scary for the mice. There is plenty of room and air so you can get them to a new location. Do not Question the superiority of this product.

Excellent Product
The best Mouse Trap has finally been created without killing.
Definitely get the clear top M308 so you can see if you caught
any. Just placed some peanuts on both sides where the air
vent is and the mouse will enter. Once in, they can't get out.
Found a remote place and let them go. Very easy to open
up and let the mices free.
Suggest you put a blue tape on the top lid as it could be forced
open if you have a few in there. I also placed a container on
top of the trap to hold the top lid down just to be safe.

Did not work for me.
Baited with peanut butter and/or cheese. Mouse just laughed. Continued to poop all around them but never went in. Nice idea, but you'd better hope you've got a dim witted mouse.

Great and effective product
I purchased two clear view live traps. I must admit I was a little skeptical of how they would work at first. I was pleasantly surprised to have captured six mice over the course of two weeks. All were safely escorted to a nearby wooded area. I am quite impressed with this product and highly recommend it to humanely resolve any mice issues.

great product, great price
I had actually purchased a steel mailbox and begun converting it to a jerry-rig attempt at a live multi-mice capture device. Decided to poke around on The Internet, and found these folks (and no legit competition for them).

Before ordering I had a question or two, which were answered promptly.

The item arrived quickly, and works great. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Great Product
Great product. Did not originally put it in a good location but once I found the right spot in my basement, caught 3 mice in one night. Only problem is that they can hide in the two entry ways and it makes it a bit difficult to get them out.

Perfect
This product is fantastic. It works for adults and juveniles. Easy to check, though getting them out can take a bit of waiting as they hide. I bought these specifically to catch smaller mice which were too light to set off the traps I was using (look like little green houses). Good quality, affordable and does what it says. I highly recommend. Our me have all been safely relocated and haven't seen a mouse inside for weeks.

This is the one to buy
How close to a dead mouse caught in a snap trap do you really want to get? After you catch and release your first mouse with the Tin Cat, you'll be glad you paid extra for this trap. Get the clear top version so there's no guessing. Just put a couple flakes of cereal in as bait. Also, you can get a good discount if you buy four and quadruple the likelihood of ridding yourself of these critters. We did and two days later our mouse problem was over. Try this before hiring an exterminator.

It works!
Simple review - this product does what it says.
Up to you if you want to "catch and release" or just check once a week and empty the dead ones.
Put a blob of peanut butter in when new and unused. Once you have caught your first mouse their smell will attract others.

Mouse Traps
This is an excellent trap for mice, garden snakes, roaches, spiders, ants and what not. Put it under furniture where not exposed to your pets, as it has stickup that "works". I recommend highly to any one that has unwelcome critters in their home..... They are effective and non poisonous.

These traps are great and can also be used humanely!
These traps are great - And if you happen to want to get rid of mice without killing them, you can do them with these traps. They are easy to use and you can safely transport mice far away to where you want them to relocate. Would strongly recommend these traps but not the glue board or the recommended disposal method of drowning. Why bother with a humane trap if you are just going to kill them?!

excellent product
I bought this product to rid our pole barn and shed of mice. But being an animal lover couldn't bring myself to kill them, so I used these traps and kept catching mice. In total we caught 13 mice and relocated them several miles up the road to a woods. Would recommend getting these for a humane way of ridding yourself of mice.

works great, be prepared to check daily at first
We operate an animal sanctuary in SC, so the humane Tin Cat was just what we needed after an invasion of mice at the start of winter. I got the case of 12 so I could cover multiple rooms and walls. With 12 down the first night I caught 15 that I put into a bucket and released far (miles) away near an old barn. As things slowed down I started stacking the traps 2 high with a barrier extending over the top and front creating a tunnel into the traps, they couldn't go over of around unless they backtracked, catches increased again. Then I started using peanut butter which I kept against the wall with the hinge, again catches increased but clean up of peanut butter is difficult so I cut a small piece of plastic to fit the bottom of the trap making a removable 'floor' to make cleaning easier. Worth the money!

Not just for mice!
I will start by saying that I am VERY pleased with the fast processing of my order by DIY Pest Control. My package arrived quickly and I placed them in my garage immediately. These pads have caught spiders, lizards, a field mouse and more spiders! I do not live in the wild, however, new construction in my development keeps the pests very active.

glue traps work even without the tin cat
I think I have tried every type of mouse trap out there, and from several brands as well. These glue traps are one of the most effective traps available. I use them without the box, though I realize a box could increase the effectiveness of the traps further. As it is, I use them in a basement crawl space, and just the glue boards do a fine job catching mice. The boards are probably one of the less humane ways to dispatch a mouse, but none of the more humane traps seem to work as well, and certainly none are as cost effective.

Traps worked great
Caught my one and only mouse within 45 mins. of putting it down. Baited it with a few pieces of dog food and caught him. Apparently he or she was the only one as I have yet to catch another. These are really good traps. I don't re-release them to run back into the house. I let them thread water. I know there those who would call that cruel but I am not one of them.

just what I needed
I like this product as it allows me to easily peek in the side to see when I've caught a mouse (with my peanut butter & cracker bait). I do not like to poison mice or kill them in other type traps. Not only is it inhumane, but a poisoned mouse killed and eaten by an owl or hawk, then in turn kills the bird. Completely unnecessary with this product. when I have a mouse, I take the tin cat, put it in the car, and we go for a little car ride where I release the little fella to hopefully live long and prosper outdoors where he belongs.. :]

Works Very Well
We had a large colony of mice in the wall of the chicken house and the tin cat has worked well to eliminate them. I like that it uses mouse behavior to catch mice. With a little chicken feed for bait, they check in but they can't check out.

no mess, keeps working with little maintenance
these are great for persons that want a mouse system that does not require daily checks. i use the glue boards inside for easy cleaning. just dump out the board and you have a nice clean trap.
these will even catch mice with several old dried mice in the trap.
works great for catching young snakes & lizards and insects when used with the glue board.
