Not sure
Doesn't seem to be doing anything. At least I can't visually tell that it is being eaten.

Not the greatest
I had purchased this to take care of an ever growing ant problem in my house and in my yard. I live in San Diego where ants are a problem all year around in many parts, bringing black widows and destroying the garden, not to mention not very pleasant having them crawling around the kitchen.

I had hoped this would satisfy their protein and sweet cycles, but I have not seen a single ant attracted to this. I have had it out for over a month now with no change. I tired the ants in the house and the ants in the garden, they seem to treat it like debris to avoid. Not once have I seen them attracted to it, or carrying it, or looking in its general direction.

These are not red ants, these are smaller (not pharaoh small) ants. I don't know my ant classifications all that well, but they appear to be your run of the mill ant. I was excited to buy this based on other's reviews and unfortunately purchased the larger quantity, if you are curious to try it, start small would be my advice. Or better yet, try another product. Now I have 4 pounds of useless poison lingering in my garage.

Wouldn't Recommend
I purchased the larger quantity of this (foolishly) after reading the reviews and thinking this would be the end all for my ant problem. This may work for other varieties of ants, but where I am here in SoCal, the ants haven't touched it. I have used it inside for the ants in my kitchen, outside for the ants in my garden and I think one ant may have accidentally wander close to it once, but soon realized it wasn't anything to eat. I put it in their path and they work extra hard to go around it.

I have tried placing it in bait stations with the off the shelf liquid terro and they continue to drink the terro up, never wandering to the other side where maxforce is. I thought maxforce was supposed to cover both feeding cycles. When they are full of terro, they still don't touch the maxforce.

I'm not sure which product to try next, but I won't be buying it in ant crushing quantity next time. Now I have 4 lb of ant repellent granules.

This killed our ants
I ordered this product on a Friday and it arrived on Monday. I put the bait out on Monday and by Wednesday there wasn't an ant in sight. We had pavement ants outside and we had some other kind of ant Inside. We tried Terro (which had worked in the past) for months before ordering this. Highly recommend company & product. It's been about 6 weeks and we still have not seen an ant.

Rids Yards of Ants
This product works great at ridding our yard of ants. Recently, I noticed ants crawling all over the trunk of our crepe myrtle tree. I sprinkled the Maxforce at the base of tree and within a day or two saw only a few ants--within a week did not see a single ant on the tree.

Does the Job
The Maxforce works great for getting rid of the ants around our home and yard. We had ants around our foundation earlier this year, and I used the Maxforce and have not seen them since. Recently, I noticed ants around the base of the trees in our yard, so I sprinkled the Maxforce there. The activity has already slowed down; hopefully with another application the ants will be gone.

great stuff
I bought a vacant house a few years ago. Full of ants. I used a small fortune in sprays. No luck. It took a couple of applications of maxforce nd some faith that it would work. It about two weeks and that was the end of my ant problem. I use a powdered sugar shaker around the foundation three times in the summer. A large container is about five years worth of work. Great stuff!

It seems the attractant is only marginally effective for minuscule ants. Would not recommend.

Worked great!
I was a little confused on the website as it described defending the perimeter of the property and my problem was flying ants way out in my yard near the street. I emailed a question, received a prompt answer and this product was recommended. I followed the directions and poof! No more ants. It worked great for my problem.

Used it to deal with ghost ants in South Florida. Takes a few weeks, but I saw less and less ants, smaller, and smaller in size. Eventually (3-4 weeks or so) they all went away and never came back. Would buy again.

Good product, proven record
I have used these granules before a few years ago.
This time when the ants started an attack in my backyard and Kitchen area. I traced their 'den' , poured some in there and some strategically on their marching path. I also used another sweet product sprinkling strategically.

It worked.

Wife Happy.

Ants won't go near this stuff Total waste of money
We had ants all over the place inside the house, garage and attic. I sprinkled this product where ever they were. In all cases, they made every effort to avoid going near this product. Next time I go to purchace I will talk with the staff selling the various product and not believe what I read on the ratings from the manufacturer.

Great stuff...
I used to work for a extermination company and this was one of my favorites. I use it to control roaches, especially American Roaches. Now that I'm on my own I'm glad it's still available. NO MUSS, NO FUSS, JUST GOOD STUFF!

Excellent produc t
Have been using Maxforce for over 10 years - eradicated 65 fire ant nests one year in one day - didn't even have any for the next few years on my one-acre property - I just renewed my supply and did my neighbor's large property and dozens of nests were eliminated. We also treated another property that has huge black ants but it didn't seem to be as effective as quickly as the red ants. I recommend this for any kinds of ants though, little, medium, big.

Didn't work for Ghost Ants
I bought this product to get rid of an infestation of Ghost Ants. They showed no interest in it whatsoever. My Quality Rating applies only to my experience with the Ghost Ants. I intend to try the Maxforce Complete on other kinds of ants if the necessity arises.

DIY Response: Sorry to hear it didn't work the way you expected. Ghost ants are so small that they have trouble transporting the granules in Maxforce Complete back to the colony. A gel formulation such as Optigard Ant Bait Gel: http://store.doyourownpestcontrol.com/optigard-ant-bait-gel-optiguard is a much better option for Ghost Ants. Great Product
I have used this product with success for years and like to keep it on hand to use whenever I see ant activity around our foundation. It has worked well on everything from carpenter ants down to the very tiny ants. All I do is sprinkle it in the area of activity and within a day or so, there is no trace of the ants.

Excellent Results
I had been having ants coming out from a crack in the wall by the bathtub. I sprayed Cyper WP, but they just came back. Within a week of putting these granuls out I stopped seeing any ants. I saw them come, feed, and go back to their colony, killing the whole bunch.
Review by Chris / (Posted on 10/29/2013)
Worked great inside
We had small ants throughout our house with a colony clearly in the walls. The next time I saw a place where they were eating, I put this out and we haven't seen them since. I was shocked how quickly and effectively it worked.

Doesn't work for ants
I have been trying to use this around ant hills all summer and all the ants do is move around. It does not kill the colony, but must be doing enough to make them want to move locations. They only move a few feet away. I feel like I just keep chasing them. The old formulation of MaxForce granules worked wonderfully. I emailed customer service at Bayer, now that they took over, and they basically said that what is happening is normal. I told them the old formula worked much better and they said it is not available anymore.
