Safestore Kit /with Diamond Traps and Casemaking Clothes Lure

This trap by J.F Oaks is designed to lure and capture the male Casemaking Clothes Moths (Tinea pellionella).

  • One Diamond Glue Trap
  • One bullet lure
  • One hanger

It is recommended that a thorough inspection to find the infested areas and place traps in those areas. It is important to place no more than one to two traps per room. Too much pheromone would confuse the insects. As an additional tool, use insecticides such as Temprid Ready Aerosol, Bedlam Plus Aerosol, or D-Fense SC insecticide to spray in cracks and crevices. It is also important to clean out the source of the infestation.

How to Use the Diamond Trap with Casemaking Lure

  • Hold the diamond trap at the top (hole punch is located at the top of the trap) and grab the underside fold and pull down
  • Open the foil packet and insert pheromone on the center of the glue inside the trap (Do not open the ring part)
  • Place traps when temperatures reach 50 degrees F or higher or all year to keep population low
  • Place traps where moths are likely to fly or have been observed (in homes, this is usually the clothes closet)

Does not work - use another brand
I don't usually write reviews but I have been battling a casemaking clothes moth infestation for the past couple of years and I've finally gotten it to a much smaller population. But not with this trap. I had one lure from this brand that worked so I kept buying more hoping for similar result. Other than that one, none worked. So I've been using lures from Insects Limited and every one of them have worked well. I've found that the lures need to be replaced once every 2 months. The other things you need to do are clean and vacuum often and look for cases stuck under objects and in crevices. Good luck.

failed product
This product did not work. Although I manually kill about 2-10 moths a day, none have been lured to this trap.

No results at all
I have positively identified the moths in my home as casemaking moths. There's a lot of activity, but after more than a week of placing these traps, not a single individual moth has been trapped.
