Tempo Dust -An All Around Dust
Tempo Dust is noted for a quick knockdown and long term control of many insects. It is particularly effective on stinging insects such as, hornets, wasps and bees. Simply dust into their harborages. It works well on other insects as well such as roaches and many other perimeter pests.
Tempo Dust is a pyrethroid dust that can be used inside or outside in dusting applications. Tempo Dust can be dusted into voids, cracks and crevices, and in and around structures using dusters such as hand duster or a power duster. It has excellent penetration into wall voids, securing equal coverage, and is odor-free and non-staining.
Tempo Dust 1% Cyfluthrin
Because Tempo 1% Dust is so effective, it makes the pest hiding places and harborages uninhabitable. This all around dust, used with a duster is perfect for using in hard to reach places. It can also be dusted in cracks and crevices and wall voids. According to Tempo's label, this dust can be used as a crack and crevice treatment or general surface spot treatment. Always dust in areas that are inaccessible to children and pets. Tempo Dust goes a long way; use 0.5 lb to 1 lb per 1,000 square feet. Tempo Dust remains effective in high humidity and is not absorbed into pourous surfaces like concrete, making it ineffective.

Application for Pest with Tempo 1% Dust
Ants Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Apply Tempo 1% Dust to voids, cracks and cervices in and around doors and windows, baseboard cracks, and other places where ants enter structures.
Bed Bugs Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Apply Tempo 1% Dust to areas such as mattress folds and tufts, spring coils, cracks, or hollow places in bed frames, furniture upholstery, and picture frame moldings. Let powder remain on treated surfaces for 4 to 6 hours, then vacuum the power thoroughly, dispose of the vacuum bag property, and place clean linens on the bed.
Carpet beetles Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Apply Tempo 1% Dust under edges of floor coverings, baseboards cracks, under rugs and furniture, and in cracks and crevices in closets.
Clothes Moths and Silverfish Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Apply Tempo 1% Dust to cracks and crevices in closets and other storage areas. This is an adjunct treatment and will not control moth larvae already on the clothes. Do not apply to clothing.
Fire Ants (including Red Harvester Ants, and Pavements Ants) Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Avoid disturbing the mount before applying. If possible, treat all colonies in the area. Distribute the product evenly over each mount and around the perimeter of the mound: use the higher rates for larger mounds. For best results, water mounds gently after applying. High water pressure will cause the ants to move the mound. Treat new mounds as they appear.
Bees, Hornets, Wasps, Yellow Jackets Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Thoroughly dust nests and entrances and surrounding areas. To treat nests in wall voids, drill a hole in the area, dust entrance and surrounding areas. Wear protective clothing if necessary to avoid stings. You may also help avoid stings by treating wasp and bee nests in the evening when the insects are less active and are inside the nest. For best results. check nests within one or two days to ensure complete kill. Remove and destroy treated nests to prevent emergence of newly hatched insects, secondary pest problems, and possible staining from honey. If removal is not possible, retreat the nest, if necessary.
Beetles and moths Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
clean area thoroughly, removing infested foodstuffs and all utensils, uncovered foodstuffs, shelf paper and other objects. Apply Tempo 1% Dust in voids, cracks and crevices behind and under cupboards, food storage areas, and cabinets. Do not apply Tempo 1% Dust directly on food, utensils, or food storage shelves.
Termites and wood-infesting beetles Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Apply Tempo 1% Dust to voids and galleries in damaged wood, in spaces between wooden structural members, and between the sill plate and foundation where wood is vulnerable. For inaccessible areas, drill into the damaged wood or wall voids and then inject dust using a suitable directional injector.
Termite carton nests Treatment with Tempo 1% Dust:
Termite carton nests in building voids may be injected with a pointed injection tool at varying depths. For best results, remove carton nests material when possible.
Above-ground termites and carpenter ants: for control inside tree, utility poles, fencing and decking materials and similar structural members, drill to find the interior infested cavity and inject dust.
Please follow product label instructions to insure proper application for particular insect pest infestations

- WASPS in the house!!!
We moved into a "new to us" house on the same day they finished the roof. First day we had 2 wasps in the family room, next day 19, we had a problem. Local professionals were willing to treat, but no guarantees since we didn't know where they were. Others were happy to start tearing out the cathedral ceiling to find them. So we started out on a process to find where the nest was and the access to the inside. Once we figured that out we used the TEMPO dust in the little entrance hole they had at the roofline and then about 4 feet below where we estimated the nest to be. Within an hour we had 84 dying wasps on the ground. ( I had killed apx 150 in the house during the several months) While we continued to redust every week, for 6 weeks (I more to go) we have not seen anymore. We plan to seal the access hole they had after that. The TEMPO saved us a lot of money and a ceiling. However the process we took did require some patience.
Thanks for a great product.
- killer dust
I had yellow jackets building a nest in a wall of my house. Came straight to this site where I buy all my pest control supplies. By the way, Bifen IT is awesome on mosquitoes. But back to the yellow jackets. DIY suggested Tempo Dust and man were they right. Waited till dusk and pumped some dust (with a bellow duster purchased from here) into the crack outside that they were using for access. Also drilled a couple of small holes through the sheetrock and pumped in some dust. The next day the access point, which looked like LAX with yellow jackets coming and going the day before, was deserted. I saw one yellow jacket. One! Nothing else I need to say!
- got rid of the bees
when we first used it we had a lot of bees dropping dead outside the house where there were going in. It was a corner by the eaves. We continued to see bees going in and out but sprayed it again when it was very cool and that is the last we have seen of them. None going in none going out. We have had trouble before and called an exterminator decide to do it ourselves worked great worth the money
- very good
This product was very good compared to anything we could buy from a local store. We tried several other 'proven' products first and got almost no response at all from them. We used this product just once, and we are still finding dying wasps or hornets (never determined which it was) several weeks later. It was unfortunate that they had chosen a spot to make their nest right above our main entrance door, so we had to find something that really worked well.
- Much better results than I expected.
I was trying to paint my house but the wasps had made nests everywhere in the facia areas and were giving us fits. Countless cans of spray did little more than make them madder. The day after the dust and duster arrived the morning weather was cool so I took the opportunity to do as many areas as I could reach with a ladder. I not only blew the dust into the areas with the duster but left a film on the exit areas. The results were immediate. Wasps were dropping everywhere. Even if they made it out of the nest areas they were unable to fly and just hung on to the siding until they dropped to the ground. But, best of all, is the lasting effects that have continued to kill all of the new hatches. More than a week later we were still seeing dead bugs on the gutters and grounds. The dust is VERY fine so it reaches areas that you can't even see. Because of this, be sure to read ALL warnings, stay upwind, and wear appropriate protective gear. A little goes a long way!
- Tempo Dust worked great
I used the Tempo Dust in combination with the B&G Bulb Duster. I dusted the entrance to a yellow jacket nest in my sofit at night and the yellow jacket activity was gone within 24 hours. This was after I was unsuccessful fogging the cavity with another product. Great results.
- great for yellow jackets
I've been in pest control for over 10 years and this is the best product for yellow jackets. Always amazed how well it works
- worked as expected
I had yellow jackets entering under a basement window sill that is only a few inches from the ground.. Puffed the dust in the best I could and left some around the area. Repeated two more times and haven't seen any for two weeks. So far so good.
- Excellent product!
I had yellow jackets under a gutter cap and in a soffit that the wasp sprays couldn't get at. I used this powder and three (3) days later they were gone!!! I will defiantly tell friends about this product!! Can't wait till next year to let them have it again!!!
- good stuff
Worked great on the spider problem on my boat. Only problem was finding a way to spray the duct "up" in crevices. ducting "down" no problem. Virtually ELIMINATED massive spider problem at dock.
- great product
I had a bee colony in the wall of my house that was not exposed other than a small hole in the exterior. I used this product with a bulb duster that cost less than 10 dollars. I sprayed one time into the hole and haven't had a bee since the next morning.
- Bee's are gone.
A hive of bee's found a way into an exterior wall. Applied at night and the next morning no more bee's. Very effective.
- Works like a charm
I had a wasp nest that was located through a foundation joint opening. I tried D-Dust but that was not effective. When I received the Tempo Dust I applied it at dusk when the nest activity was minimized using a duster bulb to get the powder into the crack. One application did the trick. It put down the nest completely. Next day, not a single wasp to see where previously there was one every few seconds. great product!!
- excellant product
First time we sprayed the hornets we didn't use enough but the second time we sprayed a lot more and it worked real good. We're
waiting for cold weather to remove the nest. It was in the attic and was hard to get to,but my son managed. He wore coveralls boots and a bee hat with duct tape on all seams. The hornets had a hole in the wall in our dining room & he put gorilla tape on that to keep them out .
he poked a small hole in the wall and sprayed in there too! What a relief to have them gone!
- Great Carpenter Bee Dust
The Tempo Dust is great stuff. Drops Carpenter bees fast and stays in the hole for bees to track it in and out.
